Hello Everyone,
If you aren't practicing Qigong or meditation yet, or you've just dabbled here and there-You might want to consider jump starting a program for yourself. Last post we talked about using these artforms as medicine for your life. This time, I want you to consider the idea that they are like a foundation for ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you would like to do and accomplish in your lifetime.
There was a recent study on meditation, that was able to prove what the practice can do for the people who do it regularly. The study is published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. And I might add, there have been several studies that have been done over the years by top notch people with similar results. I've posted it on our Facebook page if you would like to take a look.
Qigong and meditation give us excellent health.
When we start from a place of health and concentration every single day, then a multitude of things will happen.
1. We are better able to handle stress and sudden unplanned occurrences
2. We are sick less often, making us feel mentally and emotionally stronger
3. We are much less likely to be knocked out of balance and return to our bad habits
4. We are more patient, making relationships more harmonizing and peaceful and therefore-longer term
5. We excel in our chosen artform, or career
6. We increase our capacity for problem solving and acquiring of new skills
7. Our concentration increases so that our physical and mental stamina increase
And there are too many more to list at the moment. So, if you have a teacher, renew your efforts, and make it part of your life. If you don't have a teacher, try to find a good one. If not, you can email me with questions or for tips on how to practice on your own! At: laoshi.markle@gmail.com
