As Martial Artists, we should strive to have good speech. True Martial Arts practice isn't about having no control over ourselves, and speech is one way in which we can show our artistry.
Nowadays, people either speak too much or too little. They talk too much when they have just learned something. You can't get them to stop talking about what they know. And the flip side, people don't speak when they should. For instance, they shirk their obligations and don't speak to the people they obligated themselves to. Instead they run off, never to be found again, without answering for themselves. This is truly a terrible habit. It shows the lack of maturity, the fear and the arrogance of a person.
When people practice Martial Arts they develop strength and skill- at least they do if they have a good teacher and train properly. How to speak is something that should be developed as well.
